Owner & ISA-Certified Arborist
James founded EastLake Tree Services to bring science-based tree care to Atlanta at a fair price. As an ISA-Certified Arborist and TRAQ-qualified assessor, he personally evaluates every property before work begins, diagnosing health issues, structural risks, and permit requirements so homeowners get honest recommendations rather than a sales pitch.
He handles on-site consultations, city permit coordination (including Atlanta's 2026 Tree Protection Ordinance), and develops care plans tailored to each property's specific species and conditions. His approach: do the right thing for the tree first, and the business follows.
Humberto
Field Operations Leader
Humberto leads EastLake's field crews and is the person customers see most on job day. He manages rigging, climbing, and equipment operations for pruning, removals, and storm response, keeping every job on schedule and on standard.
Known for staying until the last branch chip is swept up, Humberto runs a final walkthrough with the homeowner before the crew leaves. Customers regularly single him out in reviews for his work ethic and attention to detail. He operates under ANSI A300 pruning and Z133 safety standards on every job.
